We’re proud to share that Bacton Logistics has officially achieved Cyber Essentials certification, marking an important milestone in our ongoing commitment to protecting data, systems and customer information.
In an increasingly connected world, strong cybersecurity is essential. Cyber Essentials is a UK government-backed scheme designed to help organisations defend against the most common cyber threats. Achieving this certification confirms that we have the right technical controls in place to reduce risk, protect our systems and safeguard the information entrusted to us.
This achievement carries particular importance for us. Earlier in the year, we experienced a cybersecurity near miss. While no data was compromised and operations were unaffected, it served as a timely reminder of how quickly threats can emerge and how critical it is to stay one step ahead. Rather than seeing this as a setback, we used it as a catalyst to review, strengthen and formalise our approach to cyber security across the business.
As a result, we have reinforced key controls including system access management, network protection, secure configuration and malware prevention. Cyber Essentials provides independent assurance that these measures are effective and consistently applied, giving our customers and partners added confidence in how their data is handled.
